It is time to register for the 2014 “Way Out Women” (WOW) snow machine ride, benefiting cancer patients throughout the Kenai Peninsula. The group raises money with this annual ride to benefit local oncology patients and the funds are administered by the Central Peninsula Health Foundation. This year’s event will be held on February 22nd, 2014 at Freddie’s Roadhouse, Mile 16 Oilwell Road in Caribou Hills.
Riders can sign up individually or as a team and are encouraged to gather pledges. This is the 10th WOW ride and over $445,000 has been raised to help the community with the emotional and financial burden of a cancer diagnosis.
WOW funds are used in a variety of ways: to help a young mom with babysitting, provide transportation for radiation, purchase needed medications and much more.
Your $100 entry fee includes:
- Continental breakfast before the ride
- Lunch
- WOW goody bag
- Limited edition t-shirt
- Entry for door prizes, costume contest and silent auction
