October 26, 2012 by Bruce

It is time to register for the 2013 “Way Out Women” (WOW) snow machine ride, benefiting cancer patients throughout the Kenai Peninsula. 2012 Pink Ribbon Rally

The Central Peninsula Health Foundation would like to thank the Pink Ribbon Rally committee, volunteers, participants and sponsors for their continued support of the Breast Cancer Resources Fund. On September 22, 2012, The Pink Ribbon Rally committee presented a check for $23,000 to CPHF for a five year total of $78,000.

“The Breast Cancer Fund was established by a group of local women who coordinate a golf & fundraising event to support the fight against breast cancer. This fund provides resources for the early detection and treatment of this all-too-prevalent disease. The fund last year helped to purchase a Maximum Comfort package for the Stereotactic Biopsy System. This comfort package has provided enhanced patient comfort and access.”

The Breast Cancer Resource fund pays for direct patient assistance, as well as the cost of informational breast cancer care pamphlets and sponsors the annual “Pamper-Me-Pink” party.
